ENGINEERING & DEVELOPMENT

Engineering design using a variety of manufacturing technologies; high pressure injection molding of plastics, polyurethane R.I.M, sheet metal, CNC, 3D printing and more.

FULL TURN-KEY

RIGID POLYURETHANE (R.I.M)

Polyurethane parts of various sizes, from 3mm thick and weighing up to 45 kg in a single injection.
The technology is well suited for molding complex geometries, tight tolerance requirements and high cosmetic specifications.
Parts can be made of foamed or un-foamed materials, can incorporate glass or carbon fibers and paints while exhibiting superior surface finish.

Mold types

  • Aluminum molds for an unlimited number of injections.
  • Metal surface epoxy molds for a limited number of injections.
  • All molds are equipped with heating and cooling systems to achieve optimal working temperatures.

Materials

  • Compact Polyurethane – non foamed, 1100 kg/m³.
  • Compact Polyurethane – foamed 700 kg/m³.
  • Minimal part thicknesses as little as 3 mm.

Rapid Cycle

  • Process qualities similar to injected A.B.S.
  • Self-extinguishing – in accordance with UL94V0 or UL945V standard.
  • High structural strength resulting in a sandwich structure.

Dakrim provides a total solution – from R&D, design, mold building, injection, finishing, and assembly and JIT delivery of plastic parts.

  • Manufacturing of large parts or small runs, made of glass reinforced polyester or epoxy.
  • Manufacturing functional prototypes and small production batches.
  • A variety of materials such as ABS and PC-ABS that comply with the UL94-V0 standard for medical systems and devices.
  • Service and support throughout the process, from design assistance to finishing and delivery.
  • Capabilities for large scale systems and parts such as CT imaging systems.
  • Painting of plastic parts by wet spraying and air-drying.

Dakrim specializes in machining high precision parts, assemblies and full turn-key projects. We use cutting edge machining equipment with 44 CNC machining centers, 5-axis machines with work tables up to 6M long, for milling, turning and grinding.
